Course : Appointed Person First Aid with Holos Healthcare Description Appointed Person First Aid Course. Maximum use is made of structured practical time, and the aim is for studnets to learn First Aid in a relaxed, informative atmosphere whilst having fun! The qualification gained is recognised within the UK and successful participants will receive a certificate to cover the current statutory requirements for appionted persons. Relevant course materials including self-assessment workbooks, manuals and rvision aids will be issued on the course. Holos are experienced trainers of many disciplines, including complementary health practitioners. Course : Integrated Myofascial Therapy Level 1 - Advanced, traditional and modern Fascial techniques for Bodyworkers Description You will: Examine the development of fascia, its structure, function and dysfunction and the physiological affects of Fascial Release techniques Refine observation and palpatory diagnostic skills Learn Fascial Release Techniques for the shoulders, face, pelvic area and the craniosacral complex Learn and develop the fundamental Fascial Release cross hand, tansverse planes, arm/leg pull and lever techniques Learn therapeutic dialoguing and explore Myofascial Unwinding and the Body/Mind connection This is a dynamic whole-body, hands-on approach to healthcare. Course : Introduction to Holistic Massage - A Weekend Workshop in Birmingham Description We will learn simple foot, back, neck, shoulder, face massage and relaxation techniques; introduce anatomy - made easy and fun; introduce chakras and stillness work. If you are wondering whether to study for the Diploma course and would like a taster of the Meridian's teaching approach; want to use massage at home, or just want a relaxing weekend, this might be for you! An informal 'feelgood' weekend. Previous massage experience not required. Course : Looking After Your Hands and Your Body Description This course is condensed into one day and so assumes that you are well versed in your own massage/bodywork techniques. The course is open to those who want to revise and refresh these techniques and to those who might be new to them. We will look at and practice: a)good practitioner body use, ensuring you use your body weight behind your strokes to obtain depth rather thanoveruse your shoulders/arms b) the principles of different techniques for saving hand/wrist/finger joints to incorporate in your massage session. Course : Professional Diploma in On-Site Massage (Seated Acupressure) with the Academy of On-Site Massage. Description Discounts: available for early payment (see the Academy's website: www.aosm.co.uk for further details.) You will also receive a further £10 reduction if you inform the Academy that you saw the details at Meridian School of Massage and Natural Therapies, Birmingham. This also means that Meridan receives a small commission. Course : Professional Training In Holistic Massage Therapy Description A part-time, one year Diploma course in professional Holistic Massage Therapy, accredited by the Massage Training Institute. Study on one weekend (sometimes this is three days) per month, with study in between teaching weekends.
