Reflexology Treatment in Birmingham, West Midlands, with Lorraine

What is Reflexology?

An age-old therapy based on the principle that the organs, glands and systems are reflected on the feet and hands - known as reflex points. For example, when you treat the big toes by applying gentle pressure, there is a related effect in the head; treating the whole foot can have a relaxing and healing effect on the whole body.

How can Reflexology help you?

For each person the application and the effect of the therapy is unique. The body has the ability to heal itself. Following disease or disorder, it is usually in a state of imbalance. Reflexology can be used to restore and maintain the body's natural equilibrium and encourage healing.

The Benefits:

  • Reduces feelings of stress - and can induce a deep state of relaxation for mind and body
  • Soothes the nervous system
  • Encourages elimination of waste and toxins
  • Improves circulation to all systems of the body
  • Revitalises energy
  • Releasing emotional blockages
  • Time for yourself
  • Reflexology is an important part of keeping and feeling well - a preventative health care measure for all ages

Holistic - Reflexology treats the whole person, not merely a series of symptoms.

The Reflexology treatment:

Often people, who have never received Reflexology, are deterred from booking a session because of 'fear of the unknown'. So if this is the case, please do not hesitate to ring for more information about it or how the sessions run, without any obligation to book.

The first session, is a consultation where the therapist asks you general questions about your health and general well-being and you also get the opportunity to ask questions and obtain more information. The Reflexologist then begins to work on your feet (or hands if necessary).

A treatment session lasts for about one hour. A course of treatment varies in length depending on your body's needs.
